Commissions are PERSONAL USE ONLY. You may not use the music for profit. You can use it in personal videos, share it with friends, post it to your profile, add it to a collection where you store character information—ALL with credit, please.I own the rights to the work. Do not put it into any A/I engines. I may post the music to social media unless otherwise requested (I will ask if you wish to be tagged). I may upload the music to my SoundCloud or any other music portfolio. I can leave out details if requested. If there really is an issue with me posting the piece, let me know! Sharing my art is important as an artist, but I want to work with my clients to make them comfortable.I can decline a commission for any reason. Please do not take it personally! It might be because I do not feel like I have the skill level/available tools required, or even art block.Price is based on my state’s hourly minimum wage ($14.00). Each piece takes me about 6-7 hours to finish. Full payment is due upfront. I will send a PayPal invoice upon confirmation of taking your commission. Please be prepared to pay. If you are not, let me know. I cannot begin working on a piece until I receive payment and the character info form.Commissions could take me anywhere from a few days to a month to finish. I am a neurodivergent college student with chronic pain—my energy reserves fluctuate, and school assignments come first. Please be patient, and if you cannot, do not commission. I will let you know when I’ve started your piece.With how specific this type of commission is, I do not see an easy way to provide progress updates nor do I see it necessary. Please be aware of this! The premise of these commissions is: you give me information about your oc, I write something inspired by that information. If you really want updates, let me know! I can send a watermarked update.Be kind. Any aggression or attitude will not be tolerated, and if presented I will cancel the commission. You will receive 50% of your initial 40 USD deposit, I will keep the other half (20 USD).If you are ever confused by something I say, or you are unsure of my tone, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not hesitate to ask! If you need me to explain something, I will do my best to!

Payment:

I’m based in the US, so I use USD. Payment is via PayPal, be ready to calculate accordingly (though I believe PayPal does this if you are paying in another currency). If, in the future, people request different means of payment, they might be added.Payment is due in FULL, UPFRONT. 85 USD. I will send you an invoice. Please be prepared to pay upon receiving the invoice.Please be VERY SURE you have ample funds to commission me: do NOT commission me if you are low on money, are having an emergency, or need backup emergency funds. You are responsible for your money and how you spend it, so PLEASE do so wisely. If you have any doubts about my TOS, my style, or my music, please do NOT commission me. DO NOT! I take no offense! I would rather you be wise about your money and do what is going to help YOU.If I have NOT started your commission, you may be refunded your payment.If I HAVE started your commission but it is early on in the commission, you may be refunded 65 USD. So, do not wait until I have started to ask for a refund if you are feeling unsure or think you may have to cancel.You may not be refunded once the piece is completed.If you are paying from a non-USD currency, you may round up to the nearest whole number if you wish (ie 79 EUR). You do not have to, though!Tipping any amount is not required, but is welcome.

Process:

I will provide you with a form that has a bunch of questions for you to answer about your character: things like items, ideas, and things that remind you of your character (ie butterflies, the color lilac, clouds, love, and empathy), your character’s back story (don’t hold back! I’m an OC creator as well, and I love reading about them just as much as I love making them), the setting your character is from (if it’s an existing setting from media, I ask that it’s something you can condense for me so I can learn about it quickly), etc. Visual representations are honestly a must-have; I’m a synesthete so pictures and aesthetics seriously help. If you have any genres of music/musical artists you associate with your character, please tell me! Heck, if you have a MELODY that you want me to include, let me know! Whether you make a MIDI file or sing it (I will not judge, I am a massive supporter of people doing music things no matter their ability), as long as I get it. Please let me know if you have specific genres and instrumentation in mind; this helps me build the piece!My main focus of genre is modern classical and digital-fusion. Medieval, folk, impressionism, and digital fusion are all big influences on my style and generally what I write, but I have experience writing jazz, funk, EDM, and lo-fi. Check my linked SoundCloud for character themes I have already completed.I will send you a Paypal invoice for your purchase, and the character form. The invoice should be paid immediately. You will want to fill it out as soon as you are able, but no rush! I get being busy, and sometimes filling out things for OCs can take a while. I get it. But please make sure I get it within five days at most. I cannot start writing until I receive it. Make sure to let me know when you've completed it!Once I get the payment and completed form, I will begin work on the piece.The character theme is comprised of 2-3 individual themes (ie modern pop music has the verse and the chorus; those are the A theme and the B theme), generally with an introduction and coda (outro).This may take me a few days to a month to complete—I will let you know when I have begun your commission.Progress updates and previews of the music itself will generally not be done. As mentioned, I will let you know when I have begun. I will also let you know when I believe I am at least halfway, and then again when I am getting close to finishing the piece. If you wish to have an update, feel free to ask! These files will be watermarked.Once I have finished composing the piece, you will receive a MEGA drive link that contains a .WAV file, a .MP3 file, and a simple visualizer video with the piece you may post on social media. You may also make your own videos and post them with credit.If interested, I might discuss afterward with you some of my inspirations and thought processes behind the choices I made. This is important to me because I believe sharing my thought process may help you better understand and appreciate the music and where it comes from. And, perhaps, a look behind the scenes is interesting to you (maybe it's not, and that's okay!).
